Our team has been able to skillfully develop and deliver impactful messages to the hospitals’ target audience and garner hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of positive media coverage in both general market and multicultural mediums.
AZ Super Bowl XLIX
The CoNecs team worked closely with media outlets to guarantee coverage for all the events prior to Super Bowl XLIX and garnered more than ten million impressions for local events, conferences, and other activities which include local, national, and international coverage in media outlets like CNN Español, Periódico Reforma, El Financiero, ESPN Español amongst others
Cementing APS’s standing as the stewards of our electric system, emphasizing the company’s role in empowering the Latino community and supporting Hispanic STEM education efforts, and protecting the brand reputation have been key components of our public relations efforts. At CoNecs, we advise, facilitate, and help plan APS’s participation in media, business, sporting, and community events throughout the Phoenix metropolitan area.
In order to inform the public about the new statewide attainment goal, our team launched an earned media campaign focused on providing a general understanding of Achieve60AZ and the mission of the organization.

CoNecs NA led the public relations efforts in Arizona for annual conference hosted by UnidosUS. The organization has deep roots in Arizona, founded here nearly 50 years ago. Our team developed media partnerships for the conference, promoted conference sessions and the Latino Family Expo, and organized numerous press conferences.
With the passage of the Affordable Care Act, the federal government provided states an opportunity to draw-down additional matching dollars if states increase the number of people eligible for Medicaid (the federal insurance program for the low income adults and families). Our team was hired by the Arizona Business Coalition (a consortium of business organizations that included the Arizona Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Arizona Healthcare and Hospital Association, Banner Hospital System, Dignity Healthcare, Greater Phoenix Leadership, etc.) to lead a multi-million-dollar outreach initiative to steer public opinion in favor of increasing Medicaid eligibility in Arizona. As part of this assignment, our team worked closely with Governor Jan Brewer’s Administration to develop the lobbying and communications strategy. The Arizona Legislature not only passed this proposal into law, but by the end of the campaign over 68% of Arizona voters supported the Governor’s proposal. Moreover, many political pundits predicted GOP legislative members would be defeated in the 2014 primary election due to conservative backlash, yet not one Republican member who voted in favor of Medicaid expansion lost in the primary.
