Vice President of Global Initiatives
James is Vice President of Global Affairs and General Counsel for CoNecs NA. In addition to serving as the firm’s attorney, James manages the firm’s role as Mexico Trade Representative for the City of Phoenix. The firm’s trade development services include planning and executing trade missions with Mexico and facilitating business-to-business matchmaking.
James graduated from Harvard Law School and the Harvard Kennedy School in 2008 with joint JD/MPP degrees, and practiced law at the global firm Perkins Coie. Before starting his legal career, James had distinguished careers in journalism and state government. James served two Arizona Governors, as a Mexico policy analyst, Press Secretary, and Director of Communications for the Arizona Office of Tourism.
